ALL BECAUSE I FORGOT TO GRAB MY WORK BLAZER...
I was late for my train and twisted my ankle on the stairs.
("Are you okay? Have you been robbed?")
I remembered to pray about punctuality, but not about my foot!
By the time I finished my two lessons,
I couldn't put any weight on my foot.
"I don't know what to do!" I moaned to my colleagues.
GOD'S PROVISION: GREAT COLLEAUGES
"Are you okay??"
"She could take an ambulance."
"She could take a taxi."
"She could use an umbrella as a cane."
"I could give her a piggy back ride."
PIGGY BACK RIDE #1 to Shimbashi Station
Back through Ikebukuro Station 5 cm at a time...
GODSENT PERSON: FAMILY MART CASHIER IS A SPORTS TRAINER
He made an ice pack for me and told me the R.I.C.E. method.
From the station to my share house by taxi.
("Are you sure you're okay?"
"Y-yes.")
It was a long night, but I received helpful messages,
and listened to a lot of Dedachi Kenta's music
and Narnia on YouTube.
6 a.m. messaged Karen.
GOD'S PROVISION: her normally full Saturday schedule today was empty.
Clinics opened from 9 a.m.
She zipped over to help me get to town.
GOD'S PROVISON: Taxi company couldn't locate me.
"Do you have a landmark?"
"Um...Karen, what's the name of that orange building?"

Such a cute little ending to the story too! Utter kandou! (I'm glad you featured a good thing about me even...)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading my story! There were more little kandou points along the way, but they were a little too cramy to draw.
DeleteYes!! You helped me through my first dark hour!!
Is there a cute doctor among them?
ReplyDeleteYes! The main doctor is kakkoi in a plain manner, especially because he is so utterly kind, and his two assistant doctors are both young–one is the same age as me (kind of cute?). The other is like if Ken became a bone doctor.
DeleteBut I'm just like Baba again! I look forward to my appointments!
Hahaha that's good you can look forward to your appointments.
